Do you know the history of the Beacham Theatre?🎶⠀
⠀
Orlando’s very first theatre was built by Braxton Beacham Sr. in 1921. It had its official opening night on December 9, 1921. ⠀
⠀
One crazy fact you might not know: there was a tunnel underneath Orange Avenue that performers at the Beacham Theatre used to use to get to the Angebilt Hotel across the street!😁⠀

From 1921 to 1936, the Beacham hosted vaudeville acts. It then started showing first-run movies and continued doing so until 1975, when it became the Great Southern Music Hall. Over the following years the historic building had many names: Laser World, Moulin Orange, and more. ⠀

Today, 100 years since its founding, the theatre is back to its original name and houses the Beacham nightclub and music venue.✨⠀
